WINTER STORM WARNING FROM NOON THURSDAY TO 6 AM SUNDAY… TO IMPACT MUCH OF UTAH…

A COLD AND ENERGETIC PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM WILL ENTER THE GREAT BASIN FROM THE NORTHWEST THURSDAY…THEN CONTINUE SOUTHEAST INTO THE FOUR CORNERS REGION FRIDAY EVENING.

THIS STORM WILL LINGER OVER THE FOUR CORNERS THROUGH EARLY MONDAY. WIDESPREAD AND AT TIMES HEAVY SNOW WILL FALL IN THE MOUNTAINS…WITH A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW AT LOWER ELEVATIONS THROUGH THE DURATION OF THIS SPRING STORM.

INCLUDING THE CITIES OF… MIRROR LAKE HIGHWAY… SCOFIELD… COVE FORT… KOOSHAREM… FISH LAKE… LOA… PANGUITCH… BRYCE CANYON

AFFECTED AREA…THE WESTERN UINTA MOUNTAINS…THE WASATCH PLATEAU AND BOOK CLIFFS…THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MOUNTAINS.

SNOW LEVELS…ALL ELEVATIONS WITH THE GREATEST SNOW TOTALS ABOVE 7000 FEET.

* IMPACTS…ALL ROUTES THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS WILL EXPERIENCE SNOW COVERED SURFACES CREATING HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. INTENSE SNOW SQUALLS WILL CREATE NEAR ZERO VISIBILITIES AND RAPID SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS AT TIMES.

  1. Good grief! Are the idiots coming on here again?? All snow is natural when precip combines with temperatures that are cold enough. We all know that the last major ice age and the so called 9 stories of snow that fell per day had nothing to do with any kind of experiments. Anybody that tells you otherwise is just a nutcase moron – the same people that think they can stop a snowstorm or tornado lol. I’ve seen these idiots come on go for over 25 years on these discussion boards and they are nothing but a big waste of time lol. They simply have way too much time on their hands and want to get attention. IGNORE. End of story!
