The most snow this early in the year on record.
“A strong cold front is pushing through the contiguous U.S. early this week, bringing a blast of snow for many, and an Arctic chill for most. Over 50 percent of the Lower 48 is covered in snow on Monday morning,” says the Washington Post.
It’s the most snow this early in the year in at least a decade, the Post headline points out, while neglecting to mention that it’s the most snow this early in the year on record.
Later on in the article it mentions that it’s the most snow “(by a long shot)” for this time of year.
And finally, it admits that this is the most snow, this early, since National Snow Analysis archives began being kept.
Funny, how the admission that it’s a new snowfall record didn’t appear until way down in the article.
