More than 50 percent of Lower 48 covered in snow

The most snow this early in the year on record.

“A strong cold front is pushing through the contiguous U.S. early this week, bringing a blast of snow for many, and an Arctic chill for most. Over 50 percent of the Lower 48 is covered in snow on Monday morning,” says the Washington Post.

It’s the most snow this early in the year in at least a decade, the Post headline points out, while neglecting to mention that it’s the most snow this early in the year on record.

Later on in the article it mentions that it’s the most snow “(by a long shot)” for this time of year.

And finally, it admits that this is the most snow, this early, since National Snow Analysis archives began being kept.

Funny, how the admission that it’s a new snowfall record didn’t appear until way down in the article.

  1. So WHERE is this Global Warming? NOT in the USA and NOT in Russia !!

The snow covers huge proportions of both those countries in NOVEMBER !

Look how far SOUTH the snow cover has reached….almost to the 30 degrees North latitude !!

    • It is supposedly here in Australia.

This claim is not true however.

I am old enough to remember November temperatures equal to and higher than current in Brisbane.

In 1968 I sat an exam in over 40 C. In 1980 I took water samples from swimming pools where the water temperature was 35 degrees C.

Do not believe anything the alarmists say – they are liars.
