Arctic seals finding the water too hot

Joe Herr

The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from the Consulate at Bergen, Norway. Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard of temperatures in the Arctic zone.

Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes. Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm.

Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared. Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds.

Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coast cities uninhabitable.

I must apologize. I neglected to mention that this report was from November 2 , 1922, as reported by the AP and published in The Washington Post 96 years ago. This must have been caused by the Model T Ford’s emissions or possibly from horse and cattle farts.

  1. Good one, Robert!

I still think someone needs to make a video of warmists predictions over the past 15 years — Al Gore, Prince Charles, etc — and play it over and over on social media.

I believe that would wake more people up than all the scientific reports (yawn) in the world.

Or how about a video of birds being decimated by windfarms, old growth trees being decimated by 5Gers. That ought to wake up a few environmentalists.

I wish I knew how to do such things. I am such a technology illiterate. The window is wide open right now to put this stuff out there.

Could slam shut at any time.

  2. Should have said “Good one, Joe Herr!”

But it took both of you to get this info to us, which points out the ludicrous nature of warmists’ predictions.

Throwing their own words back in their faces is the very best way to debate this issue, considering that their style of “debate” is mostly toddler type name- calling.

Facts cannot make a dent in that kind of cult mentality. But if they are looking out the window at an August snowstorm and hear Al Gore saying, No More Snow on their computers, it might sink in.

Besides, it is more difficult to argue with your own words.

The fradulent claims of the fearmongers should not be allowed to sink quietly into the past.

Thanks, guys, for bringing this article back into the light of day.

    • If facts cannot make a dent in their mentality, why would you think their old predictions would? Actually, the under 30s have been so brainwashed by this bogus science, that the only way they will change their minds is when winter never leaves, and then they still will blame it on global warming probably because, after all the miracle molecule can do anything, including causing virgin births!

  3. Joe: You had me going there for a minute. I thought that Norway having a consulate in Bergen was odd as countries don’t have consulates in their own country but in 1922 Norway was owned by Sweden no?

  4. The above is very interesting. Got to looking at some details that I’ve been collecting, on other weather details.
Eg: 1922: so-called Knickbocker Storm in the East Coast,
1922, 1924, 1926 – Built up of heavy snows land the Great Mississippi Floods.
And btw sunspots down to nearly nothing, only around 5-15 for part of that time.

    • but any warmist would accept the headline NOT read further and then go running around posting it to fkbook and wailing how eveil we are!

      anyone ON those scummy platforms?
post it without the date easy to see as Robert did and sit back with popcorn;-))

  5. Thought my chrono-clock had slipped a few notches there for a moment. I will sleep better tonight now HA.

  6. Well done – Ha! I was worried for just a moment – as the story didn’t add up to what we observe – great way to catch us off guard. The truth is that it is getting colder in the Arctic and Antarctic – by observation. The Gulf-stream is simply not as powerful as it used to be. The Jet-stream keeps undulating in a way reminiscent of the last mini-ice-age. I suppose that those who make lots of money through the Mantra of Global Warming will still be shouting their dogma as the world starts to freeze over.

  7. Note that even in 1922 the propaganda language was in full press mode: he used “Arctic seals finding the water too hot”, instead of “marginally warmer”. As written, one might well have thought that the seals were about to boil.

  8. Now why did Trump try to buy Greenland from Denmark? To keep Iranian tankers out of those seas? Capture the ice bear industry?
