The local tourist board revealed that the Zugspitz Arena in Berwang has experienced some of the most extreme weather in recent days, with up to 70cm of snow.
Arlberg reports 550cm of powder on Galzig mountain and 585cm on Valluga, meaning the locations top the ‘deepest snow in the world’ league on Skiinfo.co.uk.
In the eastern Tyrol, the Skiwelt Wilder-Kaiser Brixental area has received 50cm of fresh snowfall recently, while the Alpbach Valley and Kitzbuhel resorts have seen 40cm and 30cm respectively.
