Chicago – Latest accumulating snow in 30 years

The official snowfall for Chicago as of 1 am was 2.5″ observed at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. This was the latest accumulating snow since 1989 (May 6).

The official snowfall for Rockford was 3.7″ observed at Chicago Rockford International Airport.

“They stopped updating higher snow totals at O’Hare almost 12 hours ago,” says Ryan. “It snowed quite a while longer than that and with the sun down might have accumulated more. Some snow further south into Iowa with this next system I don’t remember predicted.”

  1. They also st a record for snow in Milwaukee, though they won’t admit it. Basically none of the storm was rain there unlike what they predicted.
