Snow fell in one of the Sochi resorts at an altitude of 2050 m (6726 ft) above sea level.
According to the local television channel sochi24.tv, the snowfall began on Saturday morning, and by the evening the snow had not melted.
Such early snow has not been observed in Sochi for 30 years.
