Guatemala Weather Turned COLD in January

With this cold front parked over Antigua the need for heat at night is obvious. In our villa (at http://whereisantiguaguatemala.com/) yesterday was spent stocking up on firewood. Yes most homes in Antigua do not have a heating system to deal with the few times of the year that the weather drops in Antigua. The heating system is a fireplace.

In our home we have a large fireplace in the main part of the Villa. This adequately heats the room son the main floor. In our master bedroom we have a smaller fireplace that keeps us very comfortable on these cool Antigua nights in early January.
