More than 6 inches (15 cm) of snow expected in places.

Several inches of snow this week have already lead to road closures.

On top of that, the National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisories for up to 2 inches of additional snow in some areas. More than 6 inches (15 cm) of snow is expected in places.

Heavy snow is forecast to blanket the volcanic summits at times through Thursday.

  1. Hello Robert,

As per definition, Hawaii (19 deg N) is well withing the “Tropic of Cancer”, i.e. below 23 deg latitude.
Wiki defines that area the “Tropics”.

    Has nature gone berserk?
