Heavy mountain snow continues across Utah

Up to 30 inches forecast – Two feet already reported in some areas


7 Oct 11 – NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SALT LAKE CITY UT… …WINTER STORM WARNING … WIDESPREAD MOUNTAIN SNOW ACROSS NORTHERN UTAH THROUGH AT LEAST MIDDAY TODAY. THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SNOW TO CONTINUE INTO SATURDAY.

INCLUDING THE CITIES OF…WOODRUFF…RANDOLPH…ALTA…BRIGHTON… MIRROR LAKE HIGHWAY…SCOFIELD

AFFECTED AREA: THE WASATCH AND WESTERN UINTA MOUNTAINS OF  NORTHERN UTAH… ALONG WITH THE WASATCH PLATEAU AND BOOK  CLIFFS.

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 15 TO 30 INCHES ABOVE 7000 FEET… 4 TO 10 INCHES BELOW 7000 FEET.

NEW SNOW  AMOUNTS NEAR 2 FEET HAVE ALREADY BEEN REPORTED FROM THE UPPER ELEVATIONS AT SNOWBIRD.
