Heavy snowfall traps 1,000 motorists in Tunisia

17 Jan 2017 – Drifts blocked roads including a major highway in the province of Jendouba on Sunday evening, Prime Minister Youssef Chahed’s office said.

The government opened 10 emergency shelters in schools and sports centres, warning the public not to travel unless absolutely necessary.

  1. Mid-west and east USA seems to be escaping a lot of this-for now. Now I will give you info on a real sack of shit, I learned this about 5 yrs ago. I can only speak for the US and IL. specifically. For those of you buying potting soil, only buy the best. Most cheaper blk. dirt, composted manure, potting soils, contain sewer mud from sewage treatment plants sludge drying beds. I used to work at one and they have a hard time getting rid of the stuff. Some farmers let them spread it on the fields, but it has a lot of plastic nasties in it so most don’t. This is the thick stuff that won’t pass through the rest of the process and is pumped out in drying beds 6-8 inches deep. To tell if you have this STUFF, take a small handfull and allow it to dry completely, then hold some in your hand and tip it slowly in the sun, if you see small sparkles you have sewer mud. the sparkles are from the phosphates in laundry soaps but there is heavy metals, bio hazards, and every thing else anyone would dump down the drain. Don’t grow your food in sewer mud. Just my def. of a real sack of shit.- besides some people.
