LOTS of volcanic activity worldwide – Popocatépetl, Merapi, Ibu, Dukono, Reventador, Sangay…

Makes me wonder how much underwater volcanic activity is occurring. Warmer seas and cooler skies. A deadly combination.

  1. Hey Robert – anybody? Couple of years back I bumped into a long youtube by some (gotta be descriptive here) old – almost a mad-looking scientist sort – who put on quite a presentation regarding climate change – alignment of the planets – moon’s orbit and the solar cycle. In addition to predicting cooling sometime soon,, he made the case for increased tectonic/volcanic activity..

Was a very compelling presentation. Knew I should have saved the link.

    I k

  2. The 5.7-magnitude earthquake that shook Utah Wednesday morning also dislodged a symbolic part of Salt Lake City’s iconic Mormon temple: the trumpet of an angel statue atop its highest spire.

The temple is the spiritual focal point for the 16 million members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

An earthquake hit southern Idaho on Tuesday afternoon, with shakes felt as far as Calgary, Canada, Boise and Spokane.

The United States Geological Survey measured a 6.5-magnitude earthquake at a depth of 10 miles just before 5 p.m. The center of the quake took place about 45 miles west of Challis, Idaho.

  3. Let sea see , 6/40 X 60 = Ah 9 . Or going by the earth seas are 60% of the surface Or was it 70% and that would be 14, So some were between or more than (9 to 14) boiling the Earths seas. Now that a big pot of boiling water. Yep here in Tucson we been getting more rain and the clouds look ah thicker or more fuller. Can we say things are a happening. Thanks, David, Tucson. Hold on to your boots. And cooler, Ah.
