Massive number of hospital beds available in California

Compared to “regular” patients, very few hospital beds in California are occupied by Covid-19 patients.

The light blue at the bottom of each column shows how many hospital beds are occupied by Covid-19 patients.

The mustard yellow indicates how many hospital beds are occupied by regular patients.

The green indicates how many hospital beds are still available across the state. Looks like more than half of the beds are empty!

So why is California still on modified lockdown?

  1. why?
    hmm because they can?

Victoria in Aus now has 540+ confirmed
of those about 60?max or so in hospital and 9 ICU

they did a sudden shut IN on public housing blocks with 30 cases or so amongst 3kresidents
issues are shared hallways laurndry lifts and doorways etc
and there ARE a high number of less than educated immigrants living there who really wont be inclined to follow rules, re distancen hygiene, so a 5 day stayinside order and possibly longer dep on test results.
    difference is?
wether they need it or not theyre getting 14days no rent and handouts of 750$ per household for their “hardship” wtf!
testing is free and hospitals etc also
