New Mexico – Healthy snowpack in northern mountains

Various areas around the state broke rainfall records over the weekend, but snowpack remains the state’s the best news.

Snowpack in the San Juan Basin around Chama is 177 percent of normal, packing 15 inches of liquid water, said National Weather Service meteorologist Brian Guyer.

  1. I skied Taos two weekends ago and am going this weekend. Tons of snow, great conditions. No global warming here.
