Nigel Farage Mocks Prince Charles – 10 Years Ago He Warned That Polar Ice Caps Would Melt in 7 years

“When it comes to Charlie Boy and climate change, oh dear, oh dear, oh dear,” said Farage. “All I can say is Charlie Boy is now in his 70s… may the Queen live a very, very long time.”

13 Aug 2019 – Brexit party leader Nigel Farage blasted Prince Charles for his eco campaigns, saying: “Ten years ago he told us the polar ice cap would disappear in seven years!”

Mr Farage’s comments on Sky News Australia on Sunday referenced when he was the sole MEP who refused to applaud a speech on global warming by Charles in 2008.

Farage said: “He (the Prince) came to the European Parliament ten years ago to tell us within seven years the polar ice cap would disappear completely. At the end of his speech, I refused to stand, I just sat there like that.”

Farage has refused to back down from his criticism

Supporters praise him for being ‘dead right’, ‘absolutely correct’ and ‘spot on’

  1. I’ll back Farage in his hope that Her Majesty reigns for another 25 / 30 years.
I’d rank prince Chuck along with Chuck Schumer of the Democrats.

  2. Indeed, long live the queen and may god give her wisdom and the courage to pay attention to her coronation oath and do the right thing.

  3. It’s easy to mock but not smart. Back in ’81 at uni I was a warming fool for a brief time.
Sir David Attenborough like-wise bleats about science he has little training in but I’ll always respect him for “Life on Earth” and his monumental contributions to society.

  4. poor chas he means well…
but the rd to hell is paved with good intentions as they say
hes right on organic landcare biodynamics for soils and homeopathy does have a place as well
but hes scarfed the koolaid on warming and yyou can blame fools like attenborough and lord king and the rest for that bad advice(they ALL profit from the warmist cons via biz interests)

    • Every successful liar must tell the truth most of the time, in order to be trusted and believed when it comes time to tell those strategic lies that will fool the public and gain the advantage that the liar seeks. Politics and propaganda are a confidence game (con game).

  5. Prince Charles needs to spend more time talking to his plants, less time talking to CRU personnel. Talking to plants actually works….

  6. I think that Nigel Farage is, by far, the most interesting politician in the western world. As far as I can tell, his views haven’t really changed, and he believes in the concept of freedom of speech, not being the slightest bit afraid of saying what is on his mind. We need more like him, especially in the US where freedom of speech is now so freely being suppressed by the need for “PC” irrelevance.

      • I quite agree Centurion. I didn’t vote for him but if you want a REALLY interesting politician search for Biden’s Gaff Machine. 🙂

My favorite is his quote about FDR he really screwed up!

My other is how he insulted a war veteran named Chuck telling him to please stand up God loves ya! (He was a disabled Veteran in a wheel chair)

  7. So Charlie boy when to the EU Parliament ten years ago to pontificate to the parasitic vegetables there. So not much difference for him.
As for the linked Daily Mail (or is that the Daily Maul?) headline of ‘Nigel Farage admits having ‘run ins’ with Prince Charles as he insists he’s a ‘big royalist’ and wants the Queen to reign for years despite slamming ‘Prince of Wokeness’ Harry and Meghan Markle’
Nigel speaks truth to power, and I doubt that they like it.

  8. The British empire slaughtered people around the world in the name of their king or queen. I have no time for royal bootlicking. Charles is not the brightest bulb. I remember when his ‘A’ Level results were leaked out in the late 60’s. Pretty dire they were. Anything he says about climate change is not to be taken seriously.

    • Johnnymac,
“The British empire slaughtered people around the world in the name of their king or queen.”

“The past is a foreign country; they do things differently there.” ― L.P. Hartley,

The past was a very different place, a foreign place with a different order to living. Please never make the mistake of judging yesterday’s unregarded errors by today’s very peculiar sensibilities.

Today’s Royal subjects (for that is what they are) are no more guilty for the sins of their ancestors anymore than your future relatives, in a hundred years hence, perceive your generations shortcomings now.

  9. When I run into warmist alarmists, in real life or online I like to ask them about these types of predictions.
I like to ask them if those that made the predictions were wrong, or simply lying.
I then like to point out that there is no third option.

Usually gets them pretty worked up.
Haven’t had a coherent response yet.

  10. It will happen don’t worry just not for another 10 years but we are in a natural global warming. It would be a lot hotter if it weren’t for solar minimum.
