Nome breaks low temp record 4 times this month – And ties it once

And the month is not even half over.

Nome tied the daily minimum temperature record on January 5, and broke it on January 3, 4, 12 and 13.

So much for global warming.

You can check this by going to:

Then click on “Daily” tab and choose the date you’re looking for.

  1. Pretty amazingly cold up there!

I thought these were Nome daily records but they are USA records apart from 11th of Jan which is a Nome record and USA record for King Salmon which was 2 degrees colder that day.

Overall so far 2012 has more record days than any other year, and came very close to taking records in several other days.
