Oregon Democrats using armed police to force climate-change vote

“Oregon Republicans are on the lam to avoid voting on a major climate change bill,” says headline.

“Send bachelors and come heavily armed,” one Republican state senator warned police.

Democratic Gov. Kate Brown authorized state police to find the lawmakers and bring them back. They are each being fined $500 for every day there aren’t enough senators for a vote. (So far, it’s been three days.) Oregon State Police said they are also coordinating with law enforcement agencies in nearby states to find the Republicans.

“Well isn’t it nice to see “democracy” at work….minority party using armed police to force a majority to vote the way they want,” says Laurel.”Hmm? Whats wrong with that picture???”

    • ooooh doesnt THat explain a LOT!!!
must be an inherited genetic disorder
thought they blood tested for too close bloodlines in usa?

  1. A false and vicious doctrine of climate change has permeated the halls of power. It will have its way against science, economics and common sense. A constructed evil arising from notorious elites whose early representatives gave us the Club of Rome and the first Earth Day.

It is now nearly triumphant despite the growing opposition from dissident scientists and others who are increasingly aware of the economic threat these ideas represent. However, simply reflecting on the issues of climate change and its outrages is not entirely the issue.

The situation in the state of Washington is really not about environmental policy per se but the capture by manipulative elites of a large part of the public imagination to secure power. An anti-industrial movement which will destroy the fruits of the industrial revolution is taking control of the Western world in the name of planetary salvation and with the not so hidden agenda of totalitarian control. The doctrine is suicidal not to mention antidemocratic.

Currently, the tactic of the Republicans in Oregon seems almost like a joke. But note that popular supporters of the Republicans in the form of an armed militia point the way to the future. It is inherent that an anti-industrial and uneconomic program such as the Greens demand will produce increasingly desperate losers.

It has been said that society is not a suicide pact. Policies of this nature must be opposed by all means available. The walkouts by the Republicans argue that the current structures of government are stressed. The ability of the losers in a political struggle to abide the success of the winners is growing.

Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that resistance will grow fast enough to prevent Green dictatorship as it stands. Large parts of the government and essentially all of the media are in the hands of the Greens. The propaganda is incessant and the formal power in opposition is weakening.

It is likely the US and the West will succumb to this threat which has grown so large. Still, there is one hope of a deux ex machina saving the day. We all know it as the next Ice Age whose leading edge is seen as the Grand Solar Minimum. Long before it is admitted a new Ice Age has begun the changing climate will wreak havoc on agriculture and give the lie to global warming.

We can only hope that the current damage to agriculture caused by global cooling will be enough to create a general crisis. A wet winter followed by a cool summer and early fall frosts would be truly devastating to farming in the northern hemisphere. The damage to the narrative of global warming inflicted by falling temperatures and the onset of major economic crisis triggered by those temperatures’ effects on agriculture could be a major blow to the Green movement and by extension the credibility and authority of the new liberalism. The economy is already heavily stressed by excessive debt, trade wars, political tensions, and a general failure to invest effectively in new plant and infrastructure in the US. This not-so-tiny straw could break the camel’s back.

Whether by democratic means or the activities of local militias a chance to gain public support for the destruction of the Green movement could come in the midst of chaos. All those who wish to reaffirm the value of the industrial age should make ready. Nature may be about to give us an opportunity to extinguish a vile doctrine which careless civil society has allowed to nearly claim complete victory.

  2. I saw this one too and thought it was crazy… tried to post a comment but guess I mess up my posting.

Anyway, THAT is what fascism looks like… the bully pulpit at full throttle… and I am ashamed of what my country has become.

    • Not Fascism Jean. More like communism demanding compliance with a PC agenda. Fascism is never PC and communism always is. That is how you tell the difference.
Fascism evolved after its founders learned that communism and democracy does not work and does not deliver the goods or maintain order in society. North American and European states are currently not fascist. They are ruled by PC commie-capitalist globalist oligarchies operating under the banner of parliamentary forms of government. It is a mafia that has
effectively outlawed the real right in politics and on the internet.

  3. Chile, June 24, 2019: Snow surprised the inhabitants of Victoria
The users of social networks shared some images of the unusual climate phenomenon in the area.
    What happened?
On Monday the fall of snow in the district of Victoria, La Araucanía region, surprised its inhabitants, who in social networks shared some records.
In the videos and photographs, there is a large snowfall that interrupted the vehicular traffic and the transfer of workers.
Route 5 South, between Victoria and Ercilla, was one of those affected by this meteorological phenomenon.

  4. What is not being widely reported is the fact that this carbon tax bill has been labelled ’emergency’ meaning – amongst other things – that it cannot be voted upon by the public in a referendum.

A similar bill was recently put before the public in Washington state and was vigorously voted down.

This is the sly way these “progressives” are
    attempting to circumvent public exposure.

  5. The Governor sent out the police to arrest her political enemies. Something just doesn’t sound right…

  6. Why don’t the republicans just go ahead and vote against the democrats. Are they afraid of being hunted down by mobs with torches and pitchforks? Maybe so.

And to think Oregon has always been my favorite state. They seemed OK the last time I was there, about 15 years ago. Must be the long term cummulative effect of their smoking so much weed. Glad I quit in my 30’s. I guess my brother was right–there’s something inherently wrong with wearing white socks and sandals. Lol!

    • “Tyranny of the majority”. The Democrats have a strangle hold on the seaboard cities. That’s where the population is, and as a result, they hold a super majority in both houses of the state legislature. If a valid session is held, they can ram through any legislation they please, as long as “their” people toe the party line. There is a quirk in their state constitution which says that “at least 2 members of the opposing party have to be present, or no vote is valid”. (The rural parts of the state don’t follow the seaboard cities, but again, the cities are where the population is). The republicans can’t out vote or filibuster their way out of this “emergency”, the best they can do is prevent a quorum.

This is pretty much why we have a electoral college at the federal level…

  7. Try living in Oregon under a one party rule.
If you don’t live in Portland or Eugene (and now Bend and much of Salem), you don’t count.
When true science, common sense and reason are at odds with Political Correctness, Oregon’s elites pick the latter every time.
    Beautiful state, geographically.
Very difficult to continue to live here.
Every contact with my reps, both state and national, is met with the same ‘… I care, but I could care less…’ response.

  8. I’ve commented a few times on searches on the web following up on articles here.

One thing I found was that the CO2 can only maintain a certain Planck length of the infra-red frequency. This means that in any given mass of CO2 there is a limit to how high the ‘heat’ can go so to speak. That’s part of my contention that CO2 cannot have a radiative effect.

In evidence I give you photosynthesis. The heat and pressure within the plant, in this instance, causes that Planck to extend beyond what the molecule can maintain and splits to release the Carbon into the plant and the oxygen into the atmosphere. Obviously the conditions in the atmosphere means that the pressure is not there however it would still maintain the same laws of physics and be unable to take it’s infra-red metric above the constraints imposed by that Planck length parameter.

Not my discipline so a contention posed by an amateur in this field, I do think however I have a point.

  9. The current political crisis in Oregon is just the tip of the iceberg of what has happened to America. The politicians are insane, and they need money. They never have enough money so they have found a way to get more – new taxes based on global warming (and the rebrand meme “climate change”).

Global Warming is a gigantic hoax because CO2 is not a significant warming gas, man made CO2 is only 0.117% of the total, which is so close to zero it can be rounded off to zero. This is why climate change models fail, CO2 is of no significance to earth heating, and so low it can’t even be measured.

Humans are not changing the climate. Such an idea is completely ludicrous because the sun inputs 175,000 Terrawatts per HOUR while human energy use is about 160,000 Tw per Year.

  10. Seems to me those countries and states in which liberals have taken control are bound to “commit suicide” in the real world, simply through their continued defiance of the laws of physics.

LSD may convince you that you can fly, but when you jump out the window you still go splat.

    Natural selection at work.

  11. They need the Pubbies for a quorum .
There is evidence that there may be enough
dems against this(they want to be re elected)
that it might die. If Kate was smart (no she isn’t personal experience, here.) She’d stop this as this law is unpopular even with a fair amount of Dems.

  12. Then perhaps she’ll commit political suicide and the state of Oregon will redeem itself in the eyes of the rest of the country. I hope so. Some of my fondest memories and best friends are Oregonian.
