Record cold 20 to 30 degrees below normal – They call it a “cold snap”

“This weekend, a ferocious, “punishing” blast of record cold air will first invade the central U.S. Saturday into Sunday, then attack the eastern and southern U.S. early next week, the National Weather Service said.”

  1. Darnit when march comes around and its still this bloody cold you realize how damn long winters are and just how lucky we d be if the world did in fact warm up a bit. Sadly the earth isnt cooperating with the models churned up by the soothsayers at the ipcc.

  2. a full 30days with no sunspots! might be having some effect?
a few rather hefty quakes in the last few days also

  3. When I saw this prediction in the Washington Post I was astounded because the map supplied was from Joe Bastardi’s Weather Bell website. As many of you know Joe was forec3d off of the weather channel because he used other methods than computer modeling for his predictions and BECAUSE HE WAS RIGHT. So he quit and formed a private company with a partner whose name I don’t recall. Now the weather channel has followed suit and announced this cold blast that has started.
