Through the first nine days of November, Great Falls had 12.8 inches of snow.
That’s the highest snowfall we’ve ever had in Great Falls from Nov. 1 through the 9th, said NWS meteorologist Paul Nutter.
Average snowfall for that period is 2 inches.

The average temperature in Great Falls through the first nine days of November reached only was 16.1 degrees F. That was 21.5 degrees below the normal average of 37.6 degrees.
That made the first nine days the third coldest start to November, behind 1972 and 2003.
