Record snowfall on Prince Edward Island

Not the first record broken this winter.

The 26.4 cm of snow that fell at Charlottetown Airport set a record for a Jan. 8, according to Environment Canada.

The previous record of 25.2 cm was set in 1994.

This is not the first record broken in Charlottetown this winter.

Charlottetown Airport broke records for the amount of snow on the ground on both Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.

  1. Meanwhile we are having one of the warmest winters ever here in south florida! Can’t remember one night of the month I visited down here or according to my daily weather observations where it got below 48 degrees once this whole winter so far! Although winter is not over yet and shit may hit the fan unexpectedly! Glad I am heading back to alabama next Monday! Had it with this constant warm weather! Although it hasn’t been that bad so far this year YET.
