Snow arrived early in northern Spain this week, much earlier than normal.
The Picos de Europa mountain range saw 5 cm of snowfall, a record for this early in September. (Not much, maybe, but still a record.) Other mountainous regions of Cantabria are likewise blanketed in white.
It’s also cold. The mercury has plummeted in the Pyrenees, dropping to as low as -10C overnight.
Temperatures are expected to return to normal over the next few days.

Will the snow this year in Spain fall mainly on the plain?
Looks like kids in Spain will still know what snow is in 75 years from now in September!!
