Ski resort closed – Too much snow

The following words appear at the top Mount Washington Alpine Resort’s website:

“Resort is Closed. Due to heavy snowfall and high avalanche danger, we will not be opening today. We advise that guests do not travel the road up. Stay tuned here for up-to-date information.”

Mount Washington Alpine Resort is located on Vancouver, Island, British Columbia, Canada, about 275 miles west northwest of Seattle.

  1. Called to check in on my parents, they’re in that area, Comox Valley, my father was laughing about this. I’ve seen some impressive pictures of folks digging out vehicles that were completely buried up there. I also see the typical flooding in the area where Farquharson Farms used to be, I bet Lewis Park is flooded too. For all of us that grew up in the area… Typical, for all the noobies from the mainland and abroad who are turning the CVRD into a polished turd… the sky is falling!!!
