More snow for Mt Rainier

Snow showers tonight through Thursday night.

  • Tonight – A 50 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. Light and variable wind becoming north 5 to 7 mph after midnight. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Tuesday – A 30 percent chance of snow showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 40. East northeast wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable in the morning. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
  • Tuesday Night – A 30 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. West northwest wind 5 to 7 mph. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
  • Wednesday – A 30 percent chance of snow showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 36. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Wednesday Night – A 30 percent chance of snow showers before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Thursday – A 30 percent chance of snow showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 36. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

  • Thursday Night – A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.

  1. So Mt Rainier is getting a jump start on the next snow year, the snow year starts July 1. If they get snow in Aug. ’12, it would be the first time that ever happened, based on data. Many Aug’s are missing data.
