Winter weather warning (in early December) – Up to 6 inches (15 cm) of snow. Possibly more in some areas.

Dec 7 2017 – Two winter weather events expected across South Texas. The first is currently ongoing across the northwest Brush Country where light snow is leading to minor snow accumulations.

The second event is expected tonight with a couple of inches of snow possible by sunrise Friday across primarily the southern Coastal Plains. Farther north and west, only minor snow accumulations are expected tonight.

Including the cities of Freer, Benavides, San Diego, Alice, Orange Grove, Kingsville, Corpus Christi, Portland, Ingleside, Aransas Pass, Sinton, and Mathis

WINTER STORM WARNING FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 8 AM FRIDAY…

* WHAT…Rain expected to eventually transition to light to moderate snow overnight. Total accumulations of 1 to 2 inches… isolated higher amounts possible.

* WHERE…Duval, Jim Wells, Kleberg, Nueces and San Patricio.
Lesser amounts closer to the coast.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT TODAY FOR THE UPPER TRANS PECOS OF WEST TEXAS AND THE GLASS MOUNTAINS OF PECOS COUNTY…

…The atmosphere is colder and most all winter precipitation will be in the form of snow, some heavy. New snowfall amounts of 2 to 6 inches  expected in warned areas, even higher local amounts possible in highest elevations.

…SNOW IS OCCURRING ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE BRUSH COUNTRY…

Rain transitioned to all snow this morning across portions of
La Salle and Webb Counties with a further of expansion of snow
expected through late morning…including across the city of
Laredo. Light accumulations are possible, mainly on grassy areas
and elevated surfaces. A change back to rain is currently expected
by mid afternoon.

Including the cities of Cotulla and Laredo

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY UNTIL 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON…

* WHAT…Light snow expected. Total snow accumulations of less
than an inch, mainly on grassy areas and elevated surfaces.

* WHERE…La Salle and Webb Counties.

  1. Sure doesn’t look like the hot air steaming out of Al Gore’s mouth is having much effect these days – including the rest of these climate idiots!

    Rest assured, kids living in the deep south will still see snow there 75 from now, I can tell you that!!

    And the next time you hear ANY news roundups from either your radio, TV or internet by mistake, you turn the MUTE OFF until they are completely gone, then turn it on again. That’s to avoid them from contaminating your head and those of your children, ok??

  2. The last time I saw snow in Aransas Pass, TX was Dec of 1959 I believe.
    It was about an inch and stayed around for less than 24 hours.
