Chinook Passs provides the east entrance to Mount Rainier National Park on State Route 410 between the towns of Enumclaw and Naches, Washington.

Elevation: 5430 ft / 1655 m
Conditions: The roadway has snow and slush in places
Weather: Snowing, areas of fog

Chinook Pass Normally closes due to snow late November

  1. Yep…it was cold this last week.
    When we first moved to Idaho (26 years ago) I learned a good lesson….IF YOU are not ready for winter by the 15 of October (i.e. wood, critter feed, put summer tools away, exterior repairs and the such), you wont have time before the freeze and snow arrives.
