SPEAKING OF WEARING MASKS

ME AT RESTAURANT:

Hostess: Okay, I can seat you at this table right here (4 feet away), but I will need you to wear a mask to the table.

Me : What happens when I get to the table?

Hostess: You can take off the mask.

Me : Then it is safe over there?

Hostess: Yes.

Me : Are those fans blowing above the table? Is that the air-conditioning I feel? Is the air circulating in here?

Hostess: No words. Confused look.

ME AT GROCERY STORE:

Why is there plastic on the payment keypad?

Cashier: To protect people from Covid.

Me : But isn’t everyone touching the plastic keypad the same way they would the regular keypad?

Cashier: No words. Confused look.

ME AT DRIVE-THRU

Server: (Holds a tray out the window with a bag of food for logical friend to grab.)

ME : Why is my bag of food on a tray?

Server: So I don’t touch your food because of Covid.

Me : Didn’t the cook touch my food? Didn’t the person wrapping my food touch it and then touch it again when placing it in my bag? Didn’t you touch the bag and put it on the tray? Didn’t you touch the tray?

Server: No words. Confused look.

Life is hard for logical people right now. We are being raised without the ability to process and execute logic.

  1. I was at hotel in Las Vegas where they took your forehead temperature via infrared every time you entered the hotel. I asked one of the clerks if they ever get a high temperature. He replied they did when it was 110 outside. When the person cooled down, the temperature was normal. The clerk was well aware of forehead temperature was meaningless. But per hotel policy and job requirements, the clerk dutifully measured the temperature.

  2. similar in Melbourne
media showing “excited” staff preparing table settings
wearing no mask or gloves, yet masks are mandatory unless actually eating or drinking(or smoking)
sanitiser inside of doors-not out so you handle door to get to it-shop was miffed when i carried the table OUT where it should be to be the slightest useful
and then everyone presses the pump down with “dirty hands” negating that remaining clean
    i use covered forearm
all of which in my area is pure farce as we have had zero cases for over 6mths locally and had just 2 at all, returned os travellers and quarantined at home on isolated properties anyway

  3. LOL sounds like me! I’ve questioned the cashiers at the check out about this very thing and they have no answer. The era of human logic and COMMON SENSE is far gone, sadly. And how about all them people touching the products you buy at the store as they stock them on the shelves? Hmmm…..I’m confused 🙂

  4. Here’s another one. I went to a hospital today to visit with a relative. When I came up to the door a medical assistant took my temp and it was fine. He then pointed to a sign on the wall with a list of symptoms and asked me if I’ve had any of them in the past 14 days. I said no and he let me in. Soooo..what if I lied? What if I’ve had every one of those symptoms for the past 14 days? How would he know? Just more ridiculous CRAP!
