Surprise Winter Storm Drops 17 Inches of Snow in Wyoming

A WINTER storm … in early September. More than a foot of snow in three different states. And two states reported their earliest snowfall on record.

The top snowfall this week was set in Casper, Wyoming — which recorded a total of 17 inches of snowfall.

Red Lodge, Montana reported 15.5 inches of snow, while Terry Peak, South Dakota reported 15 inches.

Parts of Colorado and New Mexico reported their earliest snowfall on record.

  1. Ole man winter has returned. Has anyone noticed all the fronts coming down this summer. WE had 5 in August in New Orleans. I am 59 years old and have never witnessed that before. If this keeps up in winter, look out !!!
