Up to two feet of snow for western New York

Temperatures across the east forecast to drop shaply.

After dumping more than two feet (60 cm) of snow on parts of Minnesota, the first major snowstorm of the season rolled eastward yesterday, where it is expected to drop up to two feet of snow over parts of western New York.

The heaviest snow accumulations through Monday night are expected in the New York Adirondacks and the eastern Great Lakes snowbelts, which could see more than a foot (30 cm).
