Tremors at Katla volcano and a glacial river flood in Múlakvísl prompted the Icelandic Met Office to raise the volcano’s status from green to yellow,
according to the Iceland Monitor.
A yellow alert means that although the volcano is active, nothing points to an imminent eruption. If the color code should move to orange, that would mean an eruption is becoming likely.
Katka is partially covered by the Mýrdalsjökull glacier.
That was yesterday. Today, everything seemed to have quieted down.
